So, if you’ve been doing your [x] every day, you’ll want to keep track of your progress. Logging your daily actions will help you stay motivated to keep acting daily. Especially with fitness related actions, like running, a log will help you see where you may need to make changes and if you’ve set certain goals like getting to a certain distance or pace, a good log will help you see how you measure up over time.

One good tool that I’ve found for tracking my running has been to use a day-specific event in my electronic calendar to record the mileage, time, and calories burned each day on my run. I’ve used Outlook in the past, but have recently moved to Google Calendar, which is a free web-based calendar. I could write a week of posts about all the cool uses I’ve found for Google tools like Google Desktop, Gmail, personalized Google Home Pages, etc. Since Google Calendar is web-based, I can log my mileage from anywhere I can get an internet connection (I can’t wait until I get my iPhone!)

If you’ve been trying to write daily, a weblog is very convenient because it logs itself…
